'Think 2 Year, Think Penn State' to take place Nov. 13

Prospective students and their families are invited to attend "Think 2 Year Degree, Think Penn State Fayette" at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. This Open House will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the Cultural Center of the Williams Building.

Library hosts nature photography exhibit by retired faculty member

The Penn State Beaver library is hosting a display of nature photography by retired professor of physics James Monroe. The public is invited to visit this free exhibit. Over the years, Monroe has traveled the country to photograph unique and often unseen views of nature. His work can be seen in area shops, and he has donated his photos to help fundraising efforts on behalf of scholarships for campus students. Monroe retired from Beaver in 2007 after teaching there for 30 years. Graduates honored at Penn State Beaver spring commencement

Penn State Beaver held its spring commencement Friday, May 4 in the Student Union Building auditorium. Fifty-eight students received master's, baccalaureate, and associate degrees. The academic processional and recessional and convention of proceedings were led by Daniel W. Smith, instructor in business. Donna J. Kuga, director of academic affairs, presented the degrees, which were conferred by Chancellor Gary B. Keefer in conjunction with John Feraco, president of the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board and manufacturing leader for NOVA Chemicals, Inc. Keefer also introduced the commencement speaker, Julian Gray, certified elder law attorney.
