At the start to every semester on the University Park campus of Penn State, a fun and informative Welcome Week gives new students the chance to say their last goodbyes to parents and learn what the University, the campus and everything in their new college life is all about. Once students have moved into their residence halls, they and their families can enjoy all of the Welcome Week fun.

Welcome Week kicks off each semester by greeting thousands of new Penn State students with fun and informative events that introduce them to life on campus and all that comes with it. Beginning Friday, Aug. 19, and continuing through the weekend, a variety of activities will be happening around campus that will get first-year students acclimated to the Penn State experience.
