Lavender Graduation recognizes outstanding LGBTQA student graduates

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — LGBTQA students graduating in the spring, summer and fall semesters of 2018 were recognized in a Lavender Graduation ceremony on April 20.

More than 25 students walked the stage in recognition of their graduation and achievements while studying at Penn State. Each also had the opportunity to thank a significant supporter in their life – a person who had provided support throughout their journey both within and outside of the classroom.

The following students were recognized as scholarship award recipients during the ceremony:

  • Marshal Scholarship – Anthonia Lucas and Nufar Herzberg
  • Miller/LaVigne Scholarship – Brian Woodson
  • Masel-McClin Scholarship – Alex Gubler
