Free oral, head and neck cancer screening set for April 10

HERSHEY, Pa. — Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery will host a free screening event for oral, head and neck cancer.

The screening will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at the University Physician Center, 100 Campus Drive, Suite 400, on the Medical Center campus.

The event is for people who answer “‘yes” to any of the following questions:

  • Do you smoke or chew tobacco products?
  • Do you have a sore in your mouth?
  • Have you had a sore throat that lasted more than two weeks?
  • Have you had a hoarse voice for more than two to three weeks?
  • Do you have trouble swallowing or the feeling that something is stuck in your throat?
  • Do you have a painless growth or swelling in your neck?
