Berks holds Entrepreneurship Speaker Series

'Legal Considerations with Startups' topic of lecture on March 19

READING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks Spring 2018 Entrepreneurship Speaker Series will host a lecture titled “Legal Considerations with Startups,” from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Monday, March 19, in room 121 Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building. This event is free and open to the public.

Speakers include Tyler Etter, staff attorney with Penn State Law’s Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic, and George Weaver, co-founder of Precision Medical Products, Inc. They will have a conversation about the considerations and pitfalls that any budding entrepreneur should be aware of. The talk will cover topics including the importance of establishing agreements with co-founders, appropriate selection and need of a business entity, as well as basic issues with employees, contractors, and intellectual property considerations. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions during the presentation.
