Men’s basketball

Penn State Behrend 86, Penn State Altoona 68

Hilbert College 77, Penn State Altoona 72

Lions senior guard/forward Ishimeal Nance (Muscle Shoals, Alabama/Muscle Shoals) set a new team record for the most points scored in a single season during Penn State Altoona’s loss to Hilbert on Wednesday, Feb. 21, in the first round of the AMCC Tournament. Nance has scored 495 points this season, establishing a new program record.

Men’s swimming

Fifth Place at the AMCC Championships (Feb. 14-17)

166 Points

Lions sophomore Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, Pennsylvania/Palmyra) set a new men’s swimming team record in the 400 Yard IM during day three of the AMCC Swimming Championships on Feb. 16, finishing in 4:38.07.

In Penn State Altoona’s last three matches, senior middle hitter Dan Downs (Reading, Pennsylvania/Daniel Boone) and junior outside hitter Brian Sheddy (Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania/Susquehannock) each racked up 23 kills, averaging a team-best 2.88 kills per set.

Women’s basketball

Penn State Behrend 73, Penn State Altoona 62

Sophomore guard Paige Burk (Claysburg, Pennsylvania/Claysburg-Kimmel) scored a team-high 14 points in her team’s final game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 17, a loss to Penn State Behrend.

Women’s swimming

Fourth Place at the AMCC Championships (Feb. 14-17)

Freshman Danielle Bye (Hockessin, Delaware/Cab Calloway School of the Arts) was named the AMCC Women’s Swimming Newcomer of the Year for being the top point-getter of any first-year female swimmer during the four-day conference championships. Her performance during the AMCCs included setting new team records in the 200 Yard IM (2:18.92) and the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:00.69).
