UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Alumni Career Services recently re-launched LionLink, its networking platform that connects alumni in the workforce with students and other alumni looking for help in their careers, according to an update by Paul J. Clifford, chief executive officer of the Penn State Alumni Association and associate vice president for alumni relations at Penn State. Clifford provided insights about LionLink to the Board of Trustees Committee on Outreach, Development and Community Relations on Feb. 22 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.

Clifford said thousands have participated in the unique community platform since the update was introduced in December.

The re-launched site focuses on making LionLink a more robust community for one-on-one interactions where alumni and students can easily access resources and building professional relationships that take their careers to the next level.

The updated platform offers users the opportunity to grow their own professional network while also providing career insights to Penn Staters. LionLink’s enhanced community-like feel complements the mentoring, networking and connecting options found in the previous site.

Features of the revamped site include:

  • The option to log in using LinkedIn, Facebook or an existing email address;
  • A robust career resources center to browse and learn; and
  • The ability to set specific number of times you prefer to be contacted per month.

Alumni can build their personal LionLink profile and begin connecting with the Penn State community by visiting alumni.psu.edu/LionLink.
