The Center for Survey Research calls for questions for the 2018 Penn State Poll

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Center for Survey Research at Penn State Harrisburg is inviting organizations to sponsor questions in the spring 2018 Penn State Poll. The survey will be fielded in March/April 2018. The deadline to indicate interest is Feb. 2.

The Penn State Poll is a telephone survey of 600 adult Pennsylvanians. Questions for the poll start at $1,000, and sponsors pay for only the question(s) that they submit. Standard demographic questions (age, sex, race, ethnicity, education, income, political affiliation and geography), assistance with writing questions, a methodology report, and a cleaned, weighted dataset are included in the per question cost.

“The Penn State Poll is a cost-effective way to poll statewide in Pennsylvania because costs are shared among the sponsoring organizations,” said Stephanie L. Wehnau, director of the Center for Survey Research.  “The center then works closely with the researchers to provide assistance with writing questions and responses.”

The Center for Survey Research follows best practices for conducting telephone surveys, including the inclusion of cell phones, a rigorous callback strategy, and neutral telephone interviewing.
