The Penn State Glee Club "raised the song" at Lincoln Center in New York City on Jan. 13, after the University Glee Club of New York City (formed 1894) invited them to perform in Alice Tully Hall. Each ensemble performed individually for 30 minutes, and the concert concluded with five compositions sung by more than 150 massed voices. The concert marked the first collaboration between these two storied ensembles.

Reflecting on the experience, Glee Club director Christopher Kiver said, "To sing in one of the most well-known concert venues was very exciting—the acoustic was excellent and the large audience was most appreciative. It was a great opportunity for current Penn State Glee Clubbers to see that they can still sing well beyond their college years. I am sure the students will cherish this for many years to come. After all, now they can say they have sung on Broadway!"
