WPSU-FM adds two programs to Sunday lineup

“Hidden Brain” and “Reveal” to premiere on Jan. 7 at 1 and 4 p.m., respectively

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — WPSU-FM will add two programs, one that focuses on the patterns that drive human behavior and a second on investigative reporting and storytelling, to its Sunday radio lineup beginning on Sunday, Jan. 7.

WPSU-FM will air NPR’s “Hidden Brain” and The Center for Investigative Reporting’s award-winning show, “Reveal,” weekly at 1 and 4 p.m., respectively.

“Hidden Brain,” hosted by NPR social science correspondent and award-winning journalist Shankar Vedantam, according to its website is a blend of science and storytelling that reveals the patterns that drive human behavior, the biases that shape our choices and the undetectable forces that influence our relationships.

According to its website, “Reveal,” a Peabody and DuPont award-winning program, seeks to "engage and empower the public through investigative journalism and groundbreaking storytelling to spark action, improve lives and protect American democracy." The show launched in January 2016.

Listeners can tune in to the programs on the following channels:

  • 91.5 in central Pennsylvania
  • 90.1 in northern Pennsylvania
  • 92.1 in DuBois
  • 102.5 in Huntingdon
  • 95.1 in Treasure Lake
  • 100.9 in Bradford
  • 104.7 in Clearfield
  • 106.7 in Altoona

In addition, three shows will air at new times on Sundays: “Fresh Air Weekend” at 7 p.m., “On the Media” at 8 p.m. and “Studio 360” at 9 p.m.
