Global Programs applications and nominations open for international achievement

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Global Programs is now accepting nominations and applications for the annual W. LaMarr Kopp Faculty Award and Ardeth and Norman Frisbey Awards. The awards are designed to recognize those at Penn State who make extraordinary contributions to the advancement of the international mission of the University. A nominee/applicant must be a full-time faculty member or student at Penn State. The deadline to apply is Dec. 31.

One faculty member will be selected to receive the W. LaMarr Kopp award of $1,200. This award recognizes faculty for excellence in leadership, commitment and international education through research, teaching and service.

Three international students (holding nonimmigrant status) will be selected for the Ardeth and Norman Frisbey Awards in the categories of graduate, undergraduate and student leadership. Each award is $2,000. Consideration is given to those who are enrolled in an academic program at any Penn State campus and have exhibited exemplary contributions furthering international understanding.
