Faculty appointments in the College of Education

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Education has continued its success in attracting high-caliber teacher/researchers to its faculty. This academic year the college added eight new tenure-line faculty members, further strengthening its leadership in the ever-changing field of education.

These new faculty members bring with them extensive training and expertise in a variety of fields with a diverse collection of specialties and areas of focus spanning the college's four departments: Curriculum and Instruction; Education Policy Studies; Educational Psychology, Counseling and Special Education; and Learning and Performance Systems.

They will help keep the college at the forefront of research and will strengthen the professional preparation programs offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Their research interests will introduce new dimensions into students’ learning, as well as broaden the opportunities for scholarship and research for students and faculty alike.

These faculty members also are interested in continuing professional development and will become valuable resources to practicing educators throughout Pennsylvania and beyond.

The faculty, staff and students in the College of Education all strive and succeed at making transformative improvements in the field of education. Continued growth as a college ensures our ability to remain true to this goal.

The newest members of the highly accomplished faculty in the College of Education at Penn State are:

Michael Harvey joined the college as professor of education in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems.

John D. Holst joined the college as associate professor of education in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems. 

Royel Johnson joined the college as assistant professor of education in the Department of Education Policy Studies and research associate in the Center for the Study of Higher Education.

Alexandra List joined the college as assistant professor of education in the Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling and Special Education. 

Tracy Raulston joined the college as assistant professor of education in the Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling and Special Education.

Kelly Rosinger joined the college as assistant professor of education in the Department of Education Policy Studies. 

Rebecca Tarlau will join the college in January as assistant professor of education, and labor and employment in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems. 

Hyung Joon Yoon joined the college as assistant professor of education in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems.
