UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Instructors who are teaching in Penn State Teaching and Learning with Technology’s labs and technology classrooms during the spring 2018 semester should submit software requests by Monday, Nov. 13.
Per TLT Learning Applications and Technologies (LAT) policy, every software package needed for teaching purposes must be requested each academic year. Instructors, especially those who will be teaching new spring courses, need to submit a request each year. Software previously available may be removed from computers if it is not requested again.
Over the past summer, all lab and classroom computers were upgraded to either Windows 10 or Mac OS 10.12 Sierra, so please make sure that each requested software package is compatible with these operating systems.
Software requests can be made through LAT’s course software request form. Before submitting a request, review LAT policies and procedures for software request requirements.
TLT currently manages 117 labs across 39 buildings at the University Park campus. It also equips and supports several general-purpose technology classrooms that are available for scheduling through the registrar’s office.
