UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Kaizen, a THON group comprised primarily of Penn State Army ROTC cadets and supporters, will work to raise funds for the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon during its inaugural "Ruck for a Cure" on Saturday, Nov. 4, through Sunday, Nov. 5.

Kaizen is seeking sponsors for the event, during which cadets will carry weighted rucksacks around Beaver Stadium for 24 hours. Over 100 cadets, paired in teams of two, will participate.

Kaizen’s THON child, Seth Goldsmith, along with his family, will be on hand to run the final few laps. "Ruck for a Cure" will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4 on the sidewalks surrounding Beaver Stadium, and end on Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. ‘Ruck for a Cure’ is taking place during Penn State’s annual Military Appreciation Week.

All donations will contribute to Kaizen’s total amount of money raised for THON 2018, supporting Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital.
