UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State School of Music will present "Musica Nova" at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, in 15 Music Building II (Studio A). "Musica Nova" is a unique concert featuring newly composed music for a wide variety of media including winds, brass, strings, percussion, piano, recorded audio and more.
Lions, tigers, dancing bears, impossible feats of strength, acts of strange magical powers, displays of exotic and rare specimens from the far corners of the globe, frightening and shocking freaks of the natural world, will not be in evidence. Instead, students and faculty of the School of Music will perform dazzling feats of their own — world premiers of new compositions, never before heard by human ears.
Musica Nova is coordinated by Penn State composition faculty member Paul Barsom. Admission is free. The program will be announced.
