Christine Bruce, program director of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program at Penn State College of Medicine, was recognized by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as one of 50 physician assistants -- out of the more than 115,000 nationwide -- for having a significant effect on the profession.

Bruce was also recently selected as one of the top 50 PA educators in the country by Certified Medical Educators for being an exceptional leader, teacher and PA. http://www.certifiedmedicaleducators.com/?p=3236#
“I am proud to be a PA, and I feel blessed that there is a career in which I can make a difference in both my students' and my patients' lives,” said Bruce. “I have the best of both worlds, and I take these roles very seriously. I recognize that I am entrusted with great responsibility, and I hope to represent this profession until I retire.”
Under the direction of Bruce, students in the Penn State PA Program have a 99 percent program completion rate, 100 percent first-time Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam pass rate, and 100 percent employment rate as certified PAs within four months of graduation. In addition, The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant recently granted the program accreditation-continued status through September of 2027 for compliance with their accreditation standards and policy.
