UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Redshirt senior defender Brittany Basinger has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week for the week of Oct. 2-8. This is the second career TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week plaudit for Basinger.
This past weekend, Basinger started both matches on the Nittany Lion backline in a pair of victories against Michigan and Michigan State. In a 2-0 victory against Michigan, Basinger played in 88 minutes and she scored her first goal of the season during the 12th minute of action. Then in the weekend finale, Basinger tallied one assist in 62 minutes of action in a 4-0 win against Michigan State.
