Microsoft Office courses scheduled at Penn College at Wellsboro

WELLSBORO, Pa. — For those looking to sharpen their computer skills while learning something new, Pennsylvania College of Technology at Wellsboro is offering two Microsoft Office classes.

Courses are taught in the Wellsboro Area School District administration building, 227 Nichols St., by qualified instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners. The small, noncredit classes meet in a relaxed environment, allowing participants to learn, experiment and ask questions. Sessions are hands-on, with each participant working at a computer station. The cost for each course is $195.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education’s Microsoft offerings this fall include:

Word Level 1 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18) – Learn the fundamental knowledge and techniques needed to use more complex Word features. Topics include editing text, modifying the appearance of text, inserting special characters and graphical objects, organizing data in tables, managing lists, proofing documents, and controlling the appearance of pages.

Excel Level 1 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19) – Gain the skills necessary to create basic worksheets, perform calculations, modify and format worksheets, and manage and print workbooks.
