Women's cross country cracks USTFCCCA top-10 rankings

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State women's cross country team opens week two at No. 9 in the latest NCAA Division I Cross Country National Coaches Poll, as announced Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Nittany Lion women have been idle following their sixth-consecutive Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational title, dating back to 2012, a few weeks ago.

While the Nittany Lions were idle, they remained atop the standings in the Mid-Atlantic Region on the women's side and the No. 5 team in the region on the men's side.
