Farkus serves as the assistant for the undergraduate, graduate and certificate Special Education (SPLED) program in the department of Educational Psychology, Counseling, and Special Education (EPCSE). She assists with all SPLED program admissions processes for residential instruction and Penn State World Campus by staying updated on changes, preparing applications for review, preparing letters, extending offers via the GRADS system, and rectifying admissions issues. Farkus also assists faculty and students with multiple aspects of academic processes such as requirement waivers, course enrollments, course transfers, academic petitions, and the Summer Tuition Assistance Program (STAP). She also maintains faculty and student SARI@PSU records and completes compliance reports.
