Women's volleyball moves up to No. 2

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State women’s volleyball team moved up to No. 2 in the Week 3 American Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches poll that was announced Monday afternoon.

Penn State went 2-0 in at the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge this past weekend as they swept Colorado, 3-0, and they then went on to take down No. 4 Stanford in a five-set thriller.

The Nittany Lions are now 7-0 to start the season, and this marks the 18th time this feat has been accomplished under Coach Russ Rose.

The Big Ten saw seven teams join Penn State in the top 25. Minnesota held on to the No. 1 ranking for the second straight week, while Wisconsin moved up to No. 5. Nebraska came in at No. 10, while Purdue (15), Michigan (21), Michigan State (23), and Ohio State (25) round out the rest.
