Penn State Lehigh Valley announces new faculty and staff members

Samantha Beebe has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the biobehavioral health program coordinator and lecturer. Beebe earned a master of public health and a master of science in biology from East Stroudsburg University, as well as a bachelor of science in biology from the University of South Florida. Beebe holds her Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. She had previously served as public health program coordinator and an associate professor of biology at Northampton Community College. Beebe currently resides in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Aurora Brunovsky has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the regional human resources consultant. Brunovsky earned a master of science in community counseling from the University of Scranton, and a bachelor of science in applied psychology from Penn State. She had previously served as human resources generalist at Cenduit. Brunovsky currently resides in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Patrick J. Cassidy III has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the coordinator of student life. Cassidy earned a master of education in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor of arts in communication from the University of Scranton. He had previously served as coordinator of international student services and director of international summer programs at Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Cassidy currently resides in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Jarson has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the head librarian. Jarson earned a master of library and information science from Rutgers University, and a bachelor of arts in psychology and education from Swarthmore College. She had previously served as information literacy and assessment librarian and head of public outreach and information literacy services at Muhlenberg College. Jarson currently resides in Mertztown, Pennsylvania.

Zella L. Ondrey has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the campus registrar. Ondrey earned a doctorate of education in higher education administration from Wilkes University, as well as a master of science in organizational management from Misericordia University, and a bachelor of arts in English from the College of William and Mary. She had previously served as business analyst on Project LionPATH at Penn State. Ondrey resides in Drums, Pennsylvania.

Valerie L. Peters has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the program manager of Lehigh Valley LaunchBox. Peters earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications from the University of South Florida. She had previously served as senior director of communications and public affairs at Yeshiva University in New York City, and is currently principal of VLP Communications. Peters currently resides in downtown Bethlehem.

Ashley Pierce has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time instructor in theater. Pierce earned a master of fine arts in Shakespeare and performance and a master of letters from Mary Baldwin University, as well as a bachelor of arts in theater from Florida Southern College and an associate of arts in theater from Northampton Community College. She had previously served as a teaching artist at Yocum Institute for Arts Education. Pierce currently resides in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Phillip St. James has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the director of campus development. St. James earned a master of science in management from Webster University, and a bachelor of science in computer science for business from DeVry University. He had previously served as senior relationship manager at the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. St. James currently resides in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Sara Roth was named administrative assistant to faculty at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Roth earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cedar Crest College, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Penn State Lehigh Valley. She had previously served as an administrative support assistant at reception at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Roth currently resides in Emmaus, Pennsylvania.

Jeffrey A. Stone has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as an assistant professor of information sciences and technology. Stone earned a doctorate of philosophy in public administration from Penn State, as wells as a master of science and bachelor of science in computer science from Shippensburg University, and an associate of science in math and computer science from Harrisburg Area Community College. He had previously served as a senior instructor of information sciences and technology at Penn State Schuylkill. Stone currently resides in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

Daniel Vice has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time instructor in geology. Vice earned a doctorate of education in earth sciences from Penn State, as well as a master of science in geology from Arizona State University, and bachelor of science in geology from Oregon State University. He had previously retired as a senior instructor from Penn State Hazleton. Vice currently resides in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
