College to host ASEE Mid-Atlantic Fall Conference

READING, Pa. — Penn State Berks will host the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Mid-Atlantic Section Fall Conference on October 6-7, in the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building.

The conference committee invites papers on all topics of interest to engineering educators, including but not limited to: multi‐disciplinary engineering, entrepreneurship education/mentoring, online‐learning, innovations in teaching engineering, service and project‐based learning, senior capstone design projects, research experience for undergraduates, improving critical thinking, increasing diversity in engineering, ethics in engineering education, and K-12 engineering education.

The deadline for submissions for abstracts for papers and posters is Friday, Sept. 8. Decision notification will occur on Sept. 11, and the final paper submission deadline is Sept. 22. For more details, visit sites.psu.edu/asee.

This year’s conference will be coordinated by Sadan Kulturel-Konak, professor of management information systems at Penn State Berks and conference chair; Azar Eslam Panah, assistant professor of mechanical engineering and committee chair; and Joseph Mahoney, assistant professor of engineering and workshop chair/conference webmaster.
