Career Services to host open house for graduating students Aug. 29

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Students who are graduating this year can learn how to make the most of their final year at Penn State by attending Senior Career Kickoff on Aug. 29. An open-house event, Senior Career Kickoff will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bank of America Career Services Center.

“The career-planning process can be overwhelming for students who are approaching graduation,” said Julia Moscato, graduate assistant for programming at Career Services. “Whether the next step is the job market or graduate school, this event is a great opportunity to learn about next steps.”

Students can stop by the Career Services Center anytime during the fair to learn about the services, resources and programs offered to help them work through the process of post-graduation planning.

By attending Senior Career Kickoff, seniors can talk to Career Services staff about career fairs at Penn State, on-campus interviewing, graduate school, Alumni Career Services and much more. Door prizes, refreshments and giveaways will be provided.

This event is organized by Career Services, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs. For students looking to identify and achieve their career goals, career counselors and Career Services programs are helpful resources. More information about upcoming programs and events can be found online at studentaffairs.psu.edu/career.
