Sending a 'We Are!' to these Penn Staters

This week, we recognize four Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University.

Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form.

This week, it's thank you to:

Britani Walls, in Undergraduate Education, whose nominator wrote: "Britani Walls is an awesome support staff member in the Testing Center. At a time of being understaffed, Britani was willing to take on new responsibilities, constantly had a smile on her face, and is a great team player! It's evident she enjoys customer service!"

Jim Sechrengost, with Penn State World Campus, whose nominator wrote: "While World Campus Help Desk is always helpful, Jim is especially so! He always helps me out with any of my issues with a smile and a friendly word. I can't tell the times he has saved my hide, and this week he did it for at least the 1000th time. I do appreciate him so much!"

Youyou Cheng, in the College of Engineering, whose nominator wrote: "Youyou works in Engineering's Office of Research Administration as a pre-award specialist. While on vacation, she worked evenings to help one of our faculty submit two very complicated, complex grant submissions. We truly appreciate her support, even while on vacation!"

Susan Ake, in Undergraduate Education, whose nominator wrote: "Sue went above and beyond her normal duties to assist me as I transitioned to a new position at Penn State. She approaches each day with a positive, 'can do' attitude, and her efforts are very much appreciated by all."
