Bomboy's primary role as grants and contracts manager for the Office of Research is to oversee the pre- and post-award administration functions of sponsored projects for the College of Education. She also manages a staff who are collectively responsible for the development and management of sponsored program services, including proposal preparation and approval, contract negotiation and post-award management. Within the college, Bomboy works with two research coordinators, provides services to faculty and maintains effective relationships with the Finance Office and departmental research administrators. Outside of the college, she works with the Office of Sponsored Programs, Research Accounting and Office of Research Protections. She also communicates with program and grants officers at various agencies, including the National Science Foundation and Department of Education.
