UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Kashia Quay, daughter of Melissa Rugh, of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, and Roger Quay, of Spring Mills, Pennsylvania, will be the College of Health and Human Development's student marshal for the summer 2017 commencement ceremony on Aug. 12.

Escorted by faculty marshal Patricia Kleban, senior instructor in recreation, park and tourism management, Quay is receiving a bachelor’s degree in recreation, park and tourism management.

While at Penn State, Quay served as a counselor and learning group leader for Outdoor School at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and peer mentor for the Programming in Recreation Services course.
