Career Services accepting clothing donations
Penn State Career Services is collecting professional clothing donations for undergraduate students from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from July 10 through Aug. 4 in the lobby of the Bank of America Career Services Center on the University Park campus.
The Professional Attire Closet will be available to students the week before Fall Career Days. It will open at 1 p.m. on Sept. 5 and will close at noon Sept. 8. Students are encouraged to use the items for interviews, networking events and other professional opportunities.
The Professional Attire Closet has been available to students since 2015. Balfurd Dry Cleaners cleans these clothing items for free. For more information, call 814-865-2377.
Penn State purchases Council on Undergraduate Research membership
The Office of Undergraduate Education and the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses have collaborated to purchase an enhanced institutional membership for Penn State in the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). As a result of this enhanced institutional membership, any faculty member, administrator, student or staff member from any Penn State campus or college may join the Council on Undergraduate Research at no additional cost to the individual.
Membership benefits include a digital subscription to CUR Quarterly, substantial discounts on CUR materials and conferences, access to CUR’s online archive of Webinar Recordings and materials, and access to the member’s only portion of www.cur.org, which includes information on funding opportunities, jobs and other resources. Canvas resources available for new faculty
Penn State's Teaching and Learning with Technology has developed resources for faculty who are new to Penn State. The resources are accessible in the Canvas Learning Center and include links to course templates, live training sessions and Canvas documentation, among others.
