UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Office of Physical Plant is planning for the removal of another one of the University Park campus' iconic American elm trees. The elm, located outside Henderson Building, will be removed on Tuesday, July 25.

While many of the campus elms have been removed in an effort to control the spread of disease, this elm is facing removal due to root damage.

The sidewalk along the Pugh Street Mall will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. while the removal work takes place. Pedestrians will be rerouted around the affected area.
