Executive director named for Penn College Foundation

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Kyle A. Smith has been appointed executive director of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation.

Established in 1981, the Penn College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to secure financial and other support for the college. Its activities include providing student scholarships and other financial assistance, fundraising, and general promotion of the college.

Smith, who began his duties June 26, comes to Penn College from Elmira College, where he served most recently as director of leadership giving. Previously at Elmira, he was interim director of alumni relations, director of annual giving and annual fund assistant.

Smith holds a Master of Science in Management from Elmira College and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bloomsburg University, where he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Honor Society.

“I am thrilled to have Kyle join our Institutional Advancement team at Penn College,” said Loni N. Kline, vice president for institutional advancement. “His experience in higher education, coupled with his engagement with leadership boards, will be a great fit to help advance our foundation.”
