UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This month, Penn State Today is holding a photo contest looking for the best photos of Penn Staters showcasing their Nittany Lion pride wherever their summer travels take them. These could be photos from summer vacation, a summer internship, a research trip abroad or even summer session — show us where you are this summer, preferably decked out in your favorite Penn State gear, representing Penn State with pride.

The contest is open to students, faculty and staff at all Penn State locations. The winning photo and the best runners-up — as selected by the Penn State Today team — will be featured in a future edition of Penn State Today and on Penn State’s social media platforms.

Submission guidelines are available here. Photographers of all skill levels are invited to participate. No need for a fancy camera — the cell phone in your pocket will do the job. Be sure to read our submission guidelines, and happy photographing!

Submission deadline: 5 p.m. Friday, June 30

-- Send your photo by email to: news@psu.edu. Use the subject line “photo contest.”

-- Limit submissions to one photo per person per month.

-- Include a brief caption describing the contents of the photo (who, what, when and where). Our team may get back to you if more details are needed.

-- Include your name.

-- If you’re a student, include your home campus, major and class standing (freshman, sophomore, etc.), and your hometown.
