Beaver campus hires new project and supply chain management professor

MONACA, Pa. — Andrea Patrucco, an expert in management, will join the Penn State Beaver faculty in the fall as an assistant professor of project and supply chain management.

Patrucco was most recently a lecturer and research fellow at Politecnico di Milano School of Management in Italy, where he taught purchasing, supply chain and public management.

“We are so excited to have Dr. Patrucco join our business faculty in advancing the PSCM degree,” said Beaver’s Director of Academic Affairs Carey McDougall. “He brings international expertise and experience that will greatly enrich our curriculum. He is an engaged faculty who will connect our students to industry both near and abroad.”

Patrucco has presented and published multiple papers on purchasing and procurement. He's also worked as a business analyst at Accenture Management Consulting.

Patrucco earned all three of his degrees – a bachelor of science, a master of science, and a doctorate — in management from Politecnico di Milano.

He joins Penn State Beaver a year after the campus launched its project and supply chain management baccalaureate, a degree that is highly coveted in the Pittsburgh area.
