UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The intersection at University Drive and Curtin Road will be closed for utility work from Monday, May 8 through Thursday, May 25.
During this closure, access to the sections of Lot Yellow H at Shields Building and IM Building will be available only by traveling east on Curtin Road from Bigler Road and points west. Access to the Yellow H parking area located south of Pegula Ice Arena, Lot Yellow V and the west entrance to Lot 44 via Dauer Drive will only be available by traveling north on University Drive from College Avenue and points south.
As a result of this closure, the following CATABUS stops will be closed during this period:
- Stop 148 - Curtin Road at McCoy Natatorium
- Stop 149 - Curtin Road at Shields Building
- Stop 287- Curtin Road at Bryce Jordan Center
- Stop 355 - Curtin Road at Stadium West Parking
- Stop 154 - Curtin Road at the Intramural Building
- Stop 155 - East Halls at Curtin Hall
- Stop 152 - University Drive at Lot 83 West
- Stop 153 - University Drive at Jordan Center Gate D
Detours will also be in effect for the B, C, M, HP, XB and XG routes, as well as the Blue Loop and Red Link. Specific detour information for each route can be found below.
BLUE LOOP: Travelling on Curtin Road eastbound, the route will turn left on Bigler Road, right on Park Avenue, and right on Porter Road, where it will resume normal routing. A temporary stop will be available on Bigler Road.
RED LINK E/B and HP to Toftrees Geisinger Grays Woods: Traveling on Curtin Road eastbound, the routes will turn right on Bigler Road, left on Hastings Road, left on University Drive, right on Dauer Drive and left on Porter Road, where they will resume normal routing.
RED LINK W/B and HP to Scenery Park: From the intersection of East Park Avenue and Fox Hollow Road, the routes will turn south on Porter Road, right on Dauer Road, left on University Drive, right on Hastings Road, right on Bigler Road and left on Curtin Road, where they will resume normal routing.
Inbound B, C, M, XB, XG: From the intersection of East College Avenue and University Drive, the routes will turn left on Hastings Road, right on Bigler Road and left on Curtin Road, where they will resume normal routing. A temporary stop will be available on Bigler Road near Curtin Road.
Outbound B: Traveling on Curtin Road eastbound, the route will turn right on Bigler Road, left on Hastings Road and right on University Drive, where it will resume normal routing.

In addition to CATA impacts, Campus Shuttle stops 2 (IM Building) and 3 (East Halls) will also be closed from May 8 through May 25. Those who normally use these stops are directed to use stop 4 at the Computer Building.
