Seven new members added to Behrend Council of Fellows

ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has added seven new members to its Council of Fellows. The 80-member council is composed of regional community and business leaders who advise Chancellor Ralph Ford and the campus' leadership team on issues related to economic development and regional need.

The new members are:

Harold J. Bender II, owner and president of Team Hardinger, an Erie-based integrated logistics enterprise and provider of asset transportation, truckload brokerage, warehousing, and Foreign Trade Zone services.   

Priscilla H. Hamilton, who retired from a 33-year career with the U.S. Army at the rank of colonel. Hamilton commanded DENCOM, the Army’s worldwide system of oral health care clinics. Hamilton attended Behrend before graduating from Penn State's University Park campus.

Brian A. Kupchella, president and chief executive officer of Truck-Lite, an innovator of LED technology for commercial and military applications. Kupchella earned a bachelor’s degree in plastics engineering technology at Behrend.

James F. Stevenson, regional president of PNC Bank, Northwestern Pennsylvania, and market director for PNC Corporate Banking in the northwestern Pennsylvania and western New York region.

Linda L. Stevenson, founder and chair for Erie ATHENA PowerLink and the ATHENA leadership programs and founder of the Women’s Economic Development Outreach Tours (WEDO), which bring focused resources to women-owned business in nine states.

Perry N. Wood, executive director of the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority and co-founder of the Ignite Erie entrepreneur and small business accelerator network.  

Gregory A. Zimmerman, director of global application engineering for SKF Aerospace. Zimmerman earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering technology at Penn State Behrend.
