College of Engineering to honor faculty, staff for 25 years of service

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Engineering will recognize faculty and staff members who have given 25 years of service to Penn State in a ceremony at 3 p.m. April 13 in Kunkle Lounge in Hammond Building on the University Park campus.

This year’s honorees include:

  • Thierry Daubenspeck, systems engineering specialist at the Breazeale Nuclear Reactor;
  • Heather Hamby, administrative support assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering;
  • Themis Matsoukas, professor of chemical engineering;
  • Joseph Rose, Paul Morrow Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics;
  • Bobbi Schaffer, assistant to the senior associate dean;
  • Jodi Shaw, administrative support assistant, Engineering Shop Services;
  • Kenji Uchino, professor of electrical engineering; and
  • Ronald Weaver, experimental machinist, Engineering Shop Services.

As part of their 25-year award, each honoree is given a commemorative certificate, plus their choice of a Penn State captain’s chair, rocking chair, or Penn State Elms mantel clock.
