ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend’s baseball and softball teams traveled to Florida for spring break games. The men went 6-3 on the trip; the women were 3-7.

The campus' basketball, tennis, volleyball, water polo, and track and field teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.

Men’s basketball

Stockton 74, Penn State Behrend 72

The Lions led by 10 at halftime of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship game but came up short at the final. Malquan Pullium, a senior from Erie, scored his 1,000th point in the game.

A 10-run fifth inning lifted the Lions over Widener. Justin Foreman, a sophomore from Oakdale, hit a grand slam. Scott Sada, a sophomore from Saegertown, was 3-for-4 against Northwestern. He hit a home run, a triple, a double and four RBIs.

Mitchell Obenrader, a senior from Fryburg, placed third in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Championships in Naperville, Illinois. He set a school record with a throw of 17.49 meters.
