Penn State Berks will be closed on March 14 due to impending winter storm

Due to an impending major winter storm that is expected to disrupt southeastern Pennsylvania from Monday night through Tuesday, Penn State Berks campus will be closed and classes will be cancelled on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Essential employees should consult their supervisors regarding operations for their departments. Additional announcements will be made regarding the resumption of normal operations once the impact of the storm is known.

Residential students will be expected to move their vehicles to the areas designated in pink on the campus map by 9 p.m. on Monday, March 13. Due to snow removal efforts, accessibility will be difficult for students who choose not to move their vehicles to the designated areas.

Tully’s will open at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, and is tentatively scheduled to close early at 7 p.m. “Grab-and-go” food items will be available in Tully’s and students who are remaining on campus may wish to stock up on these items for their convenience.

The Beaver Community Center is scheduled to be open from 2–7 p.m. for residential students only.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to sign up for the PSU Alert emergency notification system at psualert.psu.edu. The system is used to alert members of Penn State's campus communities of emergencies, campus closings and other urgent information. Using this portal, students, faculty and staff can choose to receive PSUAlert messages by text message, voice message and e‑mail.

Additional updates and nonemergency information can be found on the campus' Facebook page at facebook.com/pennstateberks.
