Penn State Smeal names Pasierb to Real Estate Advisory Board Executive Committee

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Smeal College of Business has named Mark Pasierb as its newest member to the college’s Institute for Real Estate Studies Advisory Board Executive Committee. Pasierb is the President of Pitcairn Properties Inc. in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

“I am pleased to welcome Mark Pasierb to the Real Estate Advisory Board Executive Committee. His experience and expertise will be a great resource for the students and faculty in the real estate program at Penn State,” said Brent Ambrose, Smeal Professor of Real Estate and director of the Institute for Real Estate Studies.

Pasierb graduated from Penn State in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in real estate. He also earned an MBA from Seton Hall University in 1997. Pasierb joined Pitcairn Properties in January 2005. Prior to that, he served as partner with The Rubenstein Company L.P., and director at Prudential Real Estate Investors. He also worked as an appraiser with the firm Krauser Welsh, & Cirz Inc.

As president of Pitcairn Properties, Pasierb is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction, cultivating relationships, structuring transactions, creating the vision for these transactions and seeing them to successful execution. Additionally, he directs the financial and operational performance of Pitcairn’s portfolio of properties.

The Smeal Real Estate Advisory Board is comprised of business, government, and education professionals who have an interest in promoting and financially supporting the real estate programs at Penn State. The board focuses on creating opportunities to enhance student educational experiences and support leading-edge research on real estate issues.
