The Center for Global Studies Fellow Award is offered in conjunction with the College of the Liberal Arts and is for humanities graduate students who are doing their dissertations in the field of global studies. For students who have received a Department Dissertation Release Award, the Center for Global Studies (CGS) will provide an extra $1,000 grant to support research for fellows wishing to affiliate in fall 2017 or spring 2018. Recipients will be required to present their research at a CGS event or a global studies K-12 teacher’s workshop. Up to two fellows will be named per academic year. Application information can be found at http://cgs.la.psu.edu/funding. Materials must be sent to Keshia Kennelley at kak43@psu.edu or delivered to 105 Sparks Building by 5 p.m. Monday, April 3.

The CGS Career Development Award offers funding of up to $2,000 for ABD doctoral students and early career faculty on a tenure track (having received a doctoral degree no earlier than 2011) through international research and travel. The greatest consideration will be given to applicants whose interests intersect with CGS’s core themes and/or area studies focus.
