Whelan Event Services to provide event services for Penn State Athletics

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Whelan Event Staffing Services has been selected to provide event services for Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics in Beaver Stadium, Rec Hall and Pegula Ice Arena, on the University Park campus.

Whelan Event Services provides a full selection of event staffing and crowd management services including crowd-control professionals, gate attendants, security, guest services, parking, and traffic assistance for sporting events, concerts and special events.

Whelan will be hiring more than 500 part-time staff to join its team for events held at these venues. Whelan’s first event at Beaver Stadium is scheduled for Saturday, April 22, when Penn State will hold its annual Blue-White Football Game at 3 p.m.
