John F. Kennedy at 100: Shenango lecture series continues

SHARON, Pa. — Penn State Shenango will continue its 2016-2017 Faculty Lecture Series with Dr. Philip Nash, associate professor of history, at 7 p.m. on Mon., Feb. 20, in Sharon Hall room 105, located on Penn Avenue in downtown Sharon. The title of his lecture is “John F. Kennedy at 100.” The event is free and open to the public.

Nash has won three teaching awards. Earning his doctorate from Ohio University in 1994, he was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore in 2010.

Nash’s expertise is in recent U.S. history, but he teaches on a variety of subjects, including the Holocaust, Vietnam, and African-American history. He often appears in the history podcasts at professorbuzzkill.com and on radio on the Ron Errett Show at www.790wpic.com. His publications include the book, "The Other Missiles of October" (1997). He is currently finishing a book manuscript on America’s first female ambassadors.
