Spring Career Days workshops help with professional prep

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Spring Career Days Workshops will take place on Feb. 7, 8 and 9 to provide students with tips and resources to feel confident and prepared to attend the upcoming career fair. All workshops will take place in Room 103 in the Bank of America Career Services Center on the University Park campus. Pre-registration is not necessary. Tuesday, Feb. 7

·      Professional Prep: LinkedIn & Dress for Success — 12:30 p.m.

·      Resume Tips for Non-Technical Majors — 4 p.m.

·      Interviewing Tips for Non-Technical Majors — 5:15 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

·      Finding Your Top 5 Organizations — 12:30 p.m.

·      After the Handshakes — 4 p.m.

·      Disclosing Disabilities — 5:15 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 9

·      Tips for International & Graduate Students — 12:30 p.m.

·      Resume Tips for Technical Majors — 4 p.m.

·      Interviewing Tips for Technical Majors — 5:15 p.m.

"Resumania" will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13.  This event allows students to have their resumes reviewed by Human Resource professionals attending the career fair. 

Spring Career Days will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Attending the Spring Career Days Workshops is an excellent way to prepare for Spring Career Days. The career fair will bring over 200 employers from all over the country to the Bryce Jordan Center and is a great way to land a summer internship or full-time position.

These events are organized by Career Services, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs. For students looking to identify and achieve their career goals, career counselors and Career Services programs are helpful resources.
