Penn State to host national collegiate table tennis tournament Jan. 21

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will host the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association's Pennsylvania division tournament at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21 in the Intramural Building.

The event will feature a number of high-caliber players, including two Olympians and a former member of the New Zealand national team. Competitors from Pillar College, Rowan University, Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State will be participating.

Attendees include Lily Yip, a two-time U.S. Olympian, U.S. table tennis national coach and hall of fame inductee; Matt Hetherington, a former New Zealand national player; and Timothy Wang, a member of the 2016 U.S. Olympic team.
