Wood, who joined the Dean’s Office in November 2016, fulfills multiple roles in the College of Education. As the facilities and safety coordinator, she is the liaison between the college and the Office of Physical Plant, Environmental Health and Safety, and Telecommunications. She also works with other University departments, building professionals, contractors and vendors in all matters related to facility projects and programs. Wood plays an important role in the planning and execution of major renovations and also is the primary contact for college facilities emergencies such as leaks, water shutoffs, etc.
Wood also serves as the access and security representative (ASR) for the college. In this role, she works with the University’s AIS Security Office and reviews all college requests for access to secure data (e.g., iTwo, IBIS, LionPATH) and oversees access to Chambers Building for college employees. As a financial assistant, she reconciles purchases for the Carrara Education Technology Center (CETC) and provides general administrative support to the finance office.
