This week, we recognize five Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University.

Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form.

This week, it's thank you to:

Amanda Laudermilch, with the Office of Student Aid, whose nominator wrote: "Amanda is an indispensable support to my staff when we deal with murky student aid eligibility issues. She quickly researches the issue and responds to co-workers with detail and professionalism, including a strong rationale for any issues requiring a judgement call."

Kathryn Rutherford, with Penn State World Campus and Continuing Education, whose nominator wrote: "Kathy goes above and beyond in everything she does. The fall semester was a rocky ride with the new student system LionPATH, and Kathy has handled many situations with grace and poise. I'm privileged to have her as a colleague to work beside every day."

Kathy Swope, at Penn State Mont Alto, whose nominator wrote: "As a Veterans Affairs Certifying Official at Penn State Mont Alto, Kathy excels in her support of student veterans. Her efforts resulted in the campus being recognized as a 'Top Ten' Military Friendly School with populations under 10,000. Thank you Kathy for your exceptional commitment to student veterans!"

Jennifer Clouser, in Human Resources, whose nominators wrote: "Jennifer Clouser exemplifies the core Penn State values in her daily work. She always makes time to answer my calls and respond to questions in a timely, thorough and professional manner. Her knowledge, experience and customer service are truly valued and appreciated." Another nominator wrote: "I nominate Jennifer Clouser. I often call her for help with You@PSU or the Learning Resource Network. Jennifer is always cheerful, calm and tries to fix the problems. She has great customer service and exemplifies the true willingness to help others."

Suzanne Decker, in the College of the Liberal Arts, whose nominator wrote: "Suzanne is a wealth of information. Her years of experience and institutional knowledge are extremely helpful for the new incoming folks in the college. Her wit and play with words is worth noticing. She is a wonderful mentor. It's a delight to work with her."
