ABINGTON, Pa. — Penn State Abington supporters raised almost $12,000 this week for #PSAgiveday. Abington finished in first place among the four Commonwealth Campuses that participated and took third place across the University.

Inspired by international #GivingTuesday, Abington Development and Alumni Relations staff invited the campus community for games, prizes, and snacks in the Lares Union Building to generate enthusiasm.

Nearly 200 donors contributed to the cause, with gifts directed to the Future Fund at Abington. The fund supports initiatives such as:

  • improvement/expansion of campus facilities;
  • study abroad, international business competition, the general engineering program robotics competition, fast-track MBA program, and undergraduate research;
  • the Center for Intercultural Leadership & Communication;
  • Student Emergency Assistance Fund;
  • NCAA Division III athletics.

Penn State Abington offers several options so donors may direct their funds to specific areas of study or programs such as the Future Fund, the library, or scholarships at any time.
