UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Southbound lane closures on North Atherton Street at Park Avenue originally scheduled for today (Nov. 21) will occur on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
The lanes will be closed while the Office of Physical Plant performs scheduled work on a large oak tree that overhangs Atherton Street. The closure will occur between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
High winds caused the delay in the work.
Drivers traveling south on Atherton Street will be detoured onto Park Avenue during the closure, while drivers traveling west on Park Avenue will be forced to turn right onto North Atherton Street.
Motorists are encouraged to plan an alternate route and avoid the area until the work is complete.
