Women's cross country No. 8 in latest USTFCCCA poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Penn State women's cross country team moved up one spot to No. 8 in this week's rankings, according to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) week seven poll released Monday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions are fresh off a First-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship for a second-consecutive season this past Friday at the Blue & White Golf Course at University Park.

Penn State's First-place finish featured a first-place finish by Tessa Barrett who completed the 6-kilometer course in 20:00 helping her team qualify for the 2016 NCAA Championships for the sixth time in the last seven years.

The Penn State women's cross country team is also ranked No. 7 in the Saucony Flo50 Women's Team XC Rankings.
