Thanksgiving dinner gives international students taste of American culture

READING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks Intercultural Office will host its annual Thanksgiving Dinner, which aims to bring both domestic and international students together to celebrate this American traditional holiday on Thursday, Nov. 10, in the Lion's Den. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.

This event is open to Penn State Berks students, faculty, and staff, but attendees must have a ticket for the event. Those interested in attending can sign up in the Intercultural Office, Room 311A of the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building. Seats will be reserved are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will feature a traditional Thanksgiving meal, prepared by Penn State Berks Food Services. International students will learn the history and evolution of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, and they will watch a video presentation produced by Penn State Berks international mentor Aymed Rodriquez Ortiz.
