Liberal Arts alumni return to discuss law school, career options with students

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State students considering law school or a career in law are invited to attend a panel discussion and/or schedule one-on-one appointments with alumni of the Penn State College of the Liberal Arts who are now lawyers.

The two-day event begins with a panel discussion at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 in 101 Chambers Building. Panelists will share their own success stories and discuss the pros and cons of law school; the differences between working in private firms, corporations and the government; and the implications of contraction in the law profession. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Students will have a chance to meet individually with up to three alumni between 9 a.m. and noon on Friday, Nov. 11 in the Bank of America Building.  During the face-to-face meetings, students will be able to share their law school and career aspirations and receive law school application and résumé suggestions.
